Calgary has $25 million Lotto 6/49 ticket holder

A lucky ticket holder is sitting on a $24.9 million Lotto 6/49 ticket in Calgary! The Western Canada Lottery Corporation said that there is a winning ticket from Calgary for the Lotto 6/49 draw last Saturday.
The winner has to come forward yet. This has created buzz around the city since Sunday as many people dream of having this fantastic windfall.

For example, Richard Ojoe, who plays the lottery each week with his coworkers, said that he got excited when he learned about the windfall Sunday morning from a friend.

“He told me that someone from Calgary had won and asked if it was me. I told him, ‘I wish.’ ”

Ojoe and 14 of his officemates at Genco play the Lotto Max and the Lotto 6/49 on a regular basis. They have an agreement that they will share any potential winning.

When asked as to what he would do if he won big on the lottery, he said “I’d go house shopping, definitely house shopping. Maybe something nice in Cranston or Silverado.”

Meanwhile, Jennifer Isaak bought a lottery ticket for the next Lotto 6/49 jackpot. She said that she would resign from her job if she wins in the lottery. She said that she would also give some of her winning to the Multiple Sclerosis Society of Canada because her uncle is battling with the illness.

The last lottery windfall in Alberta was the winning of seven plumbing instructors from Red Deer College. Are you from Calgary? Check the Saturday's Lotto 649 results at Lotterycanada.com today!
