Extra buck goes a long way for Oshawa resident wins $1 million by playing Encore

Nancy Kuzenko of Oshawa recently took home a staggering $1 million playing Encore in the November 25 Lotto Max draw.

Kuzenko said: “I checked the numbers in the newspaper, online and on the self-checker at the retailer. It was unexpected. I’m so happy.”

Kuzenko, a mother of three and grandmother of two, has been playing the lottery regularly for the past five years. This has been the biggest lottery win for her to date.

This 53-year old woman is a self-employed bookkeeper. She has been contemplating about her early retirement.

She purchased her winning ticket at Scotts IDA Drug Mart on Simcoe Street in Oshawa.

Oshawa has produced lottery winners recently, with the most remarkable being Don and Linda Ingram who won a staggering $50 million in the November 18 Lotto Max draw. Two other players from the area recently won $100,000 playing different lottery games.
